Executive Summary: The Digital Parasitological Examination Program (DEPP) is a library for identifying parasitological specimens. It is a web service in which medical staff can use the iPhone/iPad or any digital tool to capture an image of a specimen. The medical staff may upload images to identify the candidate specimen. DEPP web services also recognize parasite eggs, oocysts or worms, estimate the number of eggs, oocystes or worms per micro-liter in the sample. It also can plot graphs based on the number of individual or multi-infection in the uploaded sample.
